Volkswagen Golf 8 improved in design and more technological

After a long wait, finally, the eighth generation of Golf, Volkswagen’s best-seller and one of the best-selling models in the world make its appearance by adding more than 35 million units in 45 years.

Unlike previous generations where the evolution was not so drastic, the Volkswagen 8 makes it clear that it is a completely different car. While keeping the essence seen since its birth in the 1970s, this time, the hatchback has a much more dynamic and elegant appearance.

But beyond the evolution in design, the new Golf built under the MQB platform takes a step forward in terms of equipment and technology. It is only enough to say that it is the first Volkswagen to use swarm intelligence from traffic through the Car2X system, which means that it can warn against risks on the road in advance.

In addition to this innovation and a cabin equipped with a completely digital environment through two screens: one for multimedia system and one for the instrument cluster; The interior of the Golf 8 suddenly evolves in terms of design and quality of materials. Now everything is more elegant, thanks to the disappearance of buttons and knobs, even the gear lever is much smaller and avant-garde.

With the new Golf Volkswagen upgrade with h10 led bulb has started a hybrid offensive. As the brand’s first model, the eighth Golf is available in no less than five hybrid versions. His debut also celebrates with the mild-hybrid technology of 48 volts and the latest generation of TSI engines. In its first stage of commercialization, the world’s best selling hatchback will be available with 110 hp, 130 hp, and 150 hp.

In addition to the previous versions, the eighth generation of the Golf also has two plug-in hybrid variants (plug-in): one with 204 hp and another with 245 hp, which is the GTE sports version. Both options are equipped with a new 13 kWh lithium-ion battery that allows greater autonomy in electric mode – up to 60 kilometers -, which temporarily makes it a zero-emission vehicle.

Continuing with the versions, the new Golf is also available with the classic combustion engines. In the case of TSI petrol, there are two four-cylinder engines with 90 hp and 110 hp. Meanwhile, TDI diesel engines offer 115 hp and 150 hp.

Finally, Volkswagen starts sales of the new Golf in Europe from December 2019.
